1,000 Follower Celebration! Posted: 27 Feb 2011 11:34 PM PST I am so excited to finally kick off the 1,000 Follower Giveaway Event!!! Basically, I will be posting a new giveaway each day. There will be two winners each day, up until the last day. That will be the Grand Prize, so to speak, and it will only be for one winner. Some giveaways will be open internationally, so read the rules to find out which ones. Each giveaway will revolve around a theme, the theme will have to do with my blog, or my personal life. Today's theme is Writing. If you have been following this blog since November, you may already know how excited I was to complete NaNoWriMo. I am a writer at heart, not just a reader, so completing my first draft of my very first novel was a huge deal. It kind of started a sort of writing frenzy. I am currently working on edits for that first novel and am starting book two, not a sequel, just book number two. Writing is my way of expressing things I can't say in person, or perhaps, expressing other's ideas and opinions. I hope you enjoy the giveaway, it will be posted later today. Oh, and I am so close to reaching 1,000 Followers on Twitter, if you are not following Truth Be Told on Twitter yet, be sure to do so by clicking the link.

In one saucy pic, Kardashian, 30, poses in unzipped denim with just her arms covering her boobs from exposure. Kim most definitely has an exotic look about her and could be cast as an Italian beauty with no problem. Other rumored cast include James Franco who would play the role of Junior. The new magazine shots show the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star in a string of sexy poses, reports the Sun. In another shot, Kardashian flaunts her natural assets in a frilly red bra and denim waistcoat.
Felt Bougainvillea Garland Tutorial {Guest Post – Art Threads} Posted: 27 Feb 2011 05:27 PM PST Check out this fabulous tutorial that combines two great things… felt and flowers! Deborah from Art Threads created beautiful felt Bougainvillea to brighten up your home. Materials: *felt – bougainvillea comes in lots of colors – fuchsia, light purple, white, gold, light orange, light pink, … you’ll also need brown for a garland base, greens for the leaves, and white or off-white for the little flowers in the centers *large yellow beads *patterns 1. Cut out a colored leaf/flower with the patterns found here. The colored part of bougainvillea is actually a leaf and the flowers are the little whitish centers. Using a double strand of thread and running stitches, sew around the center in a large circle. 2. Pull the two ends of the thread until you draw the circle up and crinkle the leaf/flower points. Tie thread very tightly. 3. Cut out three small flowers. I found it easier to just free hand these, but I’ve included a pattern in case you have very small scissors and want to try it. 4. Sew onto the top by bringing a needle up through the bottom, through the flower, through a large yellow bead, and back down to the bottom. Repeat this for the other two flowers. 5. Cut a piece of brown felt about 3/4 inch wide and as long as you want your garland to be. I had a 2 yard piece of felt, so that’s how long I made mine. If you don’t have any long pieces, you can sew shorter pieces together. Fold in half and zigzag along the edge. 6. Cut two leaves for each leaf need. Put the two leaves together and decorative stitch around the outside and up the middle. 7. Place leaves on garland base and sew in place. 8. Place a bougainvillea leaf/flower next to a leaf and sew in place on the back. 9. Repeat for all the leaf/leflowers and dream of tropical places! Happy Creating! Deborah You can find Deborah's latest project on her blog each Monday. Art Threads is full of great information and creative ideas! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful tutorial with us! Portman looking hot in new ad Posted: 26 Feb 2011 04:51 AM PST Natalie Portman has shown her sexy side in the ad for Miss Dior Cherie perfume shows the actress standing with her bare back in a half zipped little black Dior dress while her on-screen lover awaits her in her bed, reports the New York Daily News . Portman is also seen blindfolding her on-screen beau with his bow tie, kissing him passionately on a bed and soaking in a tub wearing nothing but her Dior sunglasses. Director Sofia Coppola drenches the ad with Parisian glamour from the Serge Ginsburg soundtrack to the clear homage to Jean Luc Godard's 1960s films. Another image that Coppola added is a white swan gliding through the water – an obvious nod to Portman's Oscar-nominated role as a ballerina in the Darren Aranofsky film 'Black Swan'.
There is an online UK magazine called Time & Leisure and in the interview section there is an article about Libera! It says "Libera comes to the Epsom Playhouse for the very first time on 18 March, before they embark on yet another tour to North America." Aaaahhh!!!!!!! :D So maybe 6-7 boys will go to Japan to promote the new song around April 12 then meet everyone in Canada or the US! I hope I can go see them! And I wonder which boy lives in Epsom. lolYou can read the article here. And here's the article by Chris Wood titled "Treble Tops" in case it ever gets deleted. Thank you again to Jimmy Riddle for finding this! :D"When 24 very ‘ordinary’ south London schoolboys get together to sing, something very extraordinary happens. With ages ranging from as young as seven through to mid-teens, they are into all the things that boys of their age enjoy, but when they don their flowing white robes and become Libera they produce a pure, timeless, mystical music that transcends musical boundaries and confounds the sceptical. Their stunningly original sound freely moves between liturgical, classical and contemporary styles to produce a music that communicates directly with modern mainstream audiences.Surprisingly, perhaps, given that they and their artistic director Robert Prizeman are all south London orientated (one boy even comes from Epsom), Libera comes to the Epsom Playhouse for the very first time on 18 March, before they embark on yet another tour to North America. Even more surprising is the fact that, despite their huge popularity here in the UK, they are greeted with an almost fanatical adulation overseas.‘When we visit countries like Japan and the Philippines we regularly visit shopping centres and encounter 50,000 or more screaming fans,’ Robert explains. ‘When we visited Manila we sang a Philippine traditional song and got a fanatical reception. We also topped the album charts while we were there. In this country it’s a little harder to gain acceptance that young boys can sing.’In east Asia the sounds of Libera are frequently heard on mainstream TV and radio programmes and the group’s CDs ride high in the classical and pop charts of Japan, South Korea and the Philippines. In North America they have performed in front of huge crowds in cities and stadia from New York and Buffalo, Hartford, Albany and Pittsburgh in the east to Los Angeles in California.Libera – the name comes from the Libera me, a part of the Latin Requiem Mass – are ‘a team’ in Prizeman’s words. ‘There’s a great sense of camaraderie, with the older boys looking out for the younger ones. It’s their hobby, so they have to enjoy it. We make it fun – like the other things they choose to do around their school day.’Like many things young people do, if they enjoy it the boys will learn quickly. ‘All the Libera repertoire has to be learnt, from the simplest of plainsong through to complex seven or eight part harmonies,’ Prizeman explains. We teach them to read music. The classical pieces we sing have to be reproduced accurately."

Summary: To save the life of the boy she loves, Jacinda did the unthinkable: She betrayed the most closely-guarded secret of her kind. Now she must return to the protection of her pride knowing she might never see Will again—and worse, that because his mind has been shaded, Will's memories of that fateful night and why she had to flee are gone. Back home, Jacinda is greeted with hostility and must work to prove her loyalty for both her sake and her family's. Among the few who will even talk to her are Cassian, the pride's heir apparent who has always wanted her, and her sister, Tamra, who has been forever changed by a twist of fate. Jacinda knows that she should forget Will and move on—that if he managed to remember and keep his promise to find her, it would only endanger them both. Yet she clings to the hope that someday they will be together again. When the chance arrives to follow her heart, will she risk everything for love? In bestselling author Sophie Jordan's dramatic follow-up to Firelight, forbidden love burns brighter than ever. READ MY REVIEW OF FIRELIGHT

I want to send an awesome swag pack to two winners who haven't read Firelight and are looking for a little bit of an incentive.
There is another great Libera site for German fans run by our friend mawi. It is called The German Libera Song Page. You can see it here - http://www.libera-songs.de/index.html It shows all of Libera's albums with a separate section for Japan-only albums. Click on the album and you can see the song list. The concert section lists all concerts from 2005 to the present. The video section is not completed yet. My favorite section is the song list. It lists each song and which albums that song was featured on. If you click on the song, it gives you the lyrics. I did not know that "Gaudete" has been on 5 albums!Keep up the good work, mawi!

The 24-year-old FC Barcelona defender had been squiring the 34-year-old singer around the Catalonian capital before they decided to stop for a bite. The photographs show Pique gently leading Shakira, as they left their car and entered an eatery in Barcelona. Both of them beamed at the cameras as they pulled up in a car outside the restaurant, and didn't hide their hand-holding as they made their way inside. For long, the duo has been insisting they are just good friends. Shakira has previously dated lawyer Antonio de la Rua, 37, the eldest son of the former Argentinean premier. However, they broke up amid rumors that he was cheating on her.
