Synopsis:
With diabolical wit, the author of TANATALIZE revisits a deliciously dark world where vampires vie with angels and girls just want to have fangs.
At last, Miranda is the life of the party: all she had to do was die. Elevated and adopted by none other than the reigning King of the Mantle of Dracul, Miranda goes from high-school theater wannabe to glamorous royal fiend overnight. Meanwhile, her reckless and adoring guardian angel, Zachary, demoted to human guise as the princess s personal assistant, has his work cut out for him trying to save his girl s soul and plan the Master s fast-approaching Death Day gala. In alternating points of view, Miranda and Zachary navigate a cut-throat eternal aristocracy as they play out a dangerous and darkly hilarious love story for the ages.

My Review
Eternal was extremely intriguing, mostly because it dealt with the oldest paranormal book of all time, Dracula. This novel gave an interesting perspective into the home of Dracula Prime(The current vampire king). Cynthia did a great job of researching the history of Dracula and everything pertaining to what might have been his lifestyle. Miranda, one of the main characters also had an interesting bit of history. In this novel, she not only becomes a vampire(eternal) but ends up becoming a Princess of the vampire world. This whole idea was what drew me to read this book.

The other main character in this book, Zach, had his own interesting experiences. He was the other point of view in this story. Zach was a fallen angel, so to speak. To be specific he was more of an angel on probation. Zach's thoughts and ideas where some of my favorite areas to read, it's interesting the way he slowly changed his thoughts, realizing why he tried to save Miranda and why he did other things as well.

I read this book first, instead of Tantalize. I quickly realized Eternal is really a stand-alone novel. Although Tantalize was written first with some of the same characters I didn't feel like I was missing any information. Tantalize seemed to be its own story with the same world.

The ending of this book kind of confused me. I understand why it ended this way, but I think it felt cut short, like maybe there should have been a little bit more to this part, although that may have been my hopeless romantic ways.

Eternal was really interesting, and easy to understand. The sequence of the story is easy to follow and doesn't lose you at any point. It just flows.

Overall I give Eternal 4 Lanterns. This book had all the fundamentals of a good story. Plus it stood out in its paranormal sub-genre.
