Challenges: Descent of the Angels Challenge

Synopsis:
For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She's never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along.

With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment.
But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora's not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can't decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel.
For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life.

My Review:
Hush, Hush gave an interesting take on the story of fallen angels. I have always loved reading books that center around angels; I don't know if it has to do with my religion or just a preference in general. Hush, Hush was hands down an amazing debut from author Becca Fitzpatrick. I am now addicted to this series.

Right away the book starts off with attention grabbing details. Things automatically seem off about Patch and about the things everyone seems to think about Patch himself. It is easy to become curious with Hush, Hush, your mind gets rolling on different theories and you can't help but stay up wondering what is going to happen next.

Also, in Hush, Hush,  a huge part of this book deals with mystery. Figuring out who is stalking Nora is one of the most interesting parts of this first book.

Patch is also a really mysterious character. His looks instantly grab the attention of the reader, specifically the color of his eyes which are constantly described as black. As we find out more and more about Patch you can see why he is the way he is.

If you're looking for humor along with the romance and suspense, then look no further. Vee is one of the most hilarious characters I have ever read about. Vee is so outspoken and out there that you can't help but actually laugh out loud at everything she says. There were some points when her spontaneity shocks you and downright irritates you. I really wanted to yell at her along with laugh at her, but isn't that what a best friend is supposed to do?

Overall Hush, Hush earns a five lantern rating in my book. I will definitely be continuing this series, especially with the way Hush, Hush ended.
