Truth Be Told

Girls for a Change Campaign!

Posted: 30 Jun 2011 02:17 PM PDT

The following is a post sponsored by Yahoo! Every time someone clicks here to make Yahoo! their homepage, they're showing their support for Girls For A Change.

I was selected for this opportunity by Clever Girls Collective, which endorses Blog With Integrity, as I do.

Girls for a Change is a national organization that is all about empowering girls to create social change. This organization challenges girls to create programs that are all about changing and fixing any social issues the girls have seen or face in their neighborhoods.

This organization is powerful because it not only empowers changing and fixing issues in today's world, but it helps provide the tools that the girls may need.

Yahoo has partnered with Girls for a Change to help raise this valuable organization some funding. Yahoo has offered to donate $10 for every person who CLICKS HERE and makes Yahoo their home page by July 1st. They will donate up to $10,000 dollars if that many people sign up!

Making Yahoo your homepage may also work in your advantage! Yahoo Homepages offers personalized content, showing only those things that are of interest to you! Also, Yahoo keeps you up to date with the news in the world around you and the area close to where you live. Yahoo also offers news stories that have human interests, things that affect you today.

Sometimes we find ourselves with very little time available. There are still things we can do to help better the world around us, even with very little time. This Yahoo Campaign is one way we can help bring change to the world.

The Girls for Change program has been around since 2002 and it was founded in San Jose. I am so happy to be assisting this program by changing my homepage and by sharing this information with you guys/gals.

I hope to hear that you have also changed your homepage!
