LOVETT's newest album has a total raw feel that reminds me of the good old days with Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. Their music has a natural vibe; you can sense the love of music through each song. This album doesn't sound overly edited it feels as if I'm watching it live.

"Two Lovers" one of the songs off the album can completely summarize their music style. When Ben sings the lyrics to this song he has a raspy edge to his voice that gives off so much emotion. It's definitely more of a heartfelt song than a rock-out tune.

"Heartattack" is another great song on this album. It starts off quick and steady with a sort of punkish vibe. The vocals move just as quickly as the music and it's the kind of song you want to sing along too in a packed downtown music club.

Ben Lovett's strong musical background is showcased in his newest album. Each song has a bit of a unique sound but they all go together very well. Lovett has a distinct sound; this is the type of band you recognize instantly because their sound is so unique.

It feels as if this album takes me on a short musical history lesson. The song "All the Time" reminds me of a good nineties rock song with higher pitched vocals and a quick paced guitar beat that almost comes across as acoustic.

Overall, I loved this album. Five lanterns to Lovett's latest release.
