Philippines Deluxe Christmas Album

The re-release of Libera's Christmas Album with the extra track of "Himig ng Pasko" is now available in the Philippines! It's like their Deluxe edition because it's only available in the Philippines. Marj from the Pines shared a picture of it. She bought her CD at TriNoma Mall in Quezon City, Manila. It has all the picture/lyric cards in it, but still no silver Christmas ornament.

Libera performed "Himig ng Pasko" as a second encore at the PICC Manila concert last month. Here's the official video for it. If you don't have this CD, you'll want to get it! Lucky, lucky Philippines!

30,000 Facebook Followers!

Congratulations to Libera on reaching 30,000 Facebook followers! It seems like just yesterday that they were at 25,000. But it was actually around 5 months ago on Christmas Day 2010. As I wrote about here, my aunt was the 25,000th. :D  Keep sharing Libera with your friends!

EDIT: When I wrote this, I thought about writing, "I wonder who the 30,000th person is?" But I thought, "That's just silly. There are billions of people." But it turns out we DO know him! lol. Per Fan de LoK's comment below, it is The Furby from the French forum! How cool is that?! Congratulations to him for timing it just right! We know how hard that is! :D

Japan Earthquake & Tsunami

Update: Libera just posted on their Blog, Facebook and Twitter:

"Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in Japan as the news of the earthquake and tsunami emerges."

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake hit Japan just off the east coast of Honshu about 12 hours ago. I was tweeting with Yuki from Tokyo at the time. She was able to walk home from work. A tsunami then stuck the coast. Especially hard hit was the city of Sendai, which Libera visited in April 2009. I know Hagy is safe but frightened. We are praying for the safety of all and the rescue efforts.

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.  Isaiah 41:10

Facebook Libera Fan Pages

There are several great Libera fan pages on Facebook. We've already mentioned the French one. The first one I want to mention today is one that my friend, Charmaine, from Malaysia started. You don't have to be from Malaysia though. It's for anyone interested in Libera. This page is in English. Just click here and "Like" this group. You can then join in on the discussions. She is also looking for some responsible people to help out with the page as administrators. :)

While looking at the Malaysian fan page, I noticed there is also a fan page from the Philippines.

I really miss the Libera 360 web site since it closed. I don't know if the same people are running this page, but this may be a great alternative for Filipino fans. Just click here to "Like" their page. It is in English, but sometimes you might see Tagalog.  :)

Next is a page for Libera fans in Indonesia. It is also in English. Click here to "Like" their page. Their current profile picture is different, but I really like the one above with the Indonesian flag and Libera. :)

And last but not least is a fan page from Mexico. This is great for all the people who speak Spanish! I love their profile picture, too. Click here to "Like" their page.

Remember, you can join any or all of these pages. We all love Libera!  :D

French Libera Fans on Facebook

I've mentioned the French forum for Libera fans before. It's called "Libera Passion." Everyone there is very nice and "passionate" about Libera. They have now started a Facebook page called "Libera Passion French Speaking Community." You can click here and "Like" this group then join in on their discussions. Their profile picture is above. I like that it looks like a Libera poster and that it says, "But Everyone Is Welcome." So join even if you don't speak French! You can just use Google Translator. They will have write-ups and photographs from concerts and share their knowledge about Libera. They are great Libera fans!  :)

"As we pass 25000 fans here at Facebook, we'd like to say Happy Christmas to all our supporters. We've had a really busy week, with TV appearances and carol services, and we are very much looking forward to what 2011 has in store for us."

Thank you Libera. And congratulations on reaching 25,000 Facebook followers! You did it on Christmas Day...well, it's still Christmas Day here anyway! AND MY AUNT WAS THE 25,000th!!!!!

All your fans are looking forward to a great 2011 along with you!  :D

You Can Help Libera Earn Commission

Libera just posted to their Facebook page:

"Thank you to all those who make their Amazon purchases via our link. We receive a small commission from Amazon on everything sold this way. You don't need to do anything special - just go to http://snipurl.com/libshopusa and shop as usual."

"It applies to anything you buy - not just our CDs..."

Cool! So if you're shopping on Amazon.com FOR ANYTHING, not just their CD's, go through Libera's link and Libera will get commission for it!!!! Amazing!!! That's awesome!!!  :D

New Song, New Video!

Libera posted on their Facebook page on Saturday:

We've been out filming a new promo video for a brand new song.

They also posted two photos.

Cool pic! Looks like Daniel, Ralph, Stefan, Ben and Josh. Per Fan de LoK this was taken at Primrose Hill.

Jonathan, Liam, Sam, Ben, Jakob, James T., Carlos, Sammy, Cassius, Kavana, Freddie, Stefan, Henry, Matthew R-A, Ralph, Luke, Matthew J., Daniel, Josh, Alex and Tiarnan. No Mini-James? Fan de LoK says this is a bridge in Chiswick House Gardens, West London. This is a really good picture! It looks like Stefan is the soloist. Can't wait to hear the song! I'm curious to know what song it will be since it's NEW!  :)

St. Louis Tourists

Libera posted to their Facebook page at 12:00 a.m. or so:

Nice day today. Visited the Zoo and the famous St Louis Arch. Gateway to the West.

Sounds like a great day off.

Heard that then on Thursday they went to the Science Museum before their concert that evening.

More to come...

St. Louis TV & Radio Interviews & Updates

Libera posted on their Facebook page at 5:00 a.m. or so:

Thank you Arborlawn United Methodist Church for your terrific reception of our concert You showed us wonderful hospitality and we had a great time. Now we are looking forward to our concert tomorrow in the Cathedral Basilica in St Louis.

One person posted underneath the status that a tour group is coming from Japan for the last 3 concerts! Someone should do tours for ALL their concerts! I would love to go see them in Japan or France.  :)

Mini James, Mini Ben and Ralph were interviewed on Fox News St. Louis this morning:

It is strange that they were interviewed in a hallway, but they are well-spoken and darling as always.

Radio Interview:

At 4:20 p.m. NewsRadio 1120 KMOX St. Louis had an interview with Libera! But first they mentioned St. Louis's excessive heat warning and that the temperature is 101 with a heat index of 106 degrees!  The heat seems to be following Libera!

Anyway, it was again Mini James, Ralph, Mini Ben and Robert Prizeman! This time the interviewer pronounced Libera correctly, and as soon as James spoke he said, "Listen to that accent. Everybody sounds cool with an English accent."

Before they came to the studio, they were all going up in the St. Louis Arch, but these 4 went to the radio studio instead. Hope they can rejoin their group at the Arch. They said all the boys in the choir know about the Arch because it's in the book "Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief." They also saw the movie on the plane to the U.S.

The interviewer was very nice and funny. He said all 22 of them should've come to the studio cause they'd all fit. Mr. Prizeman told about how he gets each kid when they are 7 years old and starts training them. He also told about the concert tomorrow night.

James said he is 10 and his favorite song is "The Fountain" because it's very peaceful.

Ralph said he is 11 almost 12. Ben said he is 14 and his favorite song is "Going Home."

The interviewer asked Ralph what other music artists he likes, and he couldn't think of one. He offered to burn (I think) a Bruce Springsteen CD. Ralph heard of him. He asked if he knows of Chuck Berry, who's from St. Louis, but he didn't.

He asked if they could sing something for them, but Ralph explained that they are not allowed to sing because they have to save their voices. They did a great job in this interview!

Here is the link to the radio interview: http://kmox.cbslocal.com/2010/08/04/total-information-pm-80410/.
Not sure how long it will stay up, so I'll leave my review up just in case.

Heading to St. Louis

Libera posted to their Facebook page at about 3:15 p.m. today:

Travelling through Oklahoma.

Then at 7:00 p.m. they posted:

Now in Missouri.

Not sure if they're in St. Louis yet. What a long trip. We American kids know how you feel. My cousin and I watched 2 movies on our 15-hour drive to Colorado and 3 movies on the drive back. lol

Fun but Hot in Texas!

This was the post on Facebook at 1:00 a.m. this morning. (Who's staying up so late?!)  :)

Cattle drive and fantastic Texan hospitality. Plenty of bottled water - it's really quite warm here.

Cool! I mean HOT! They may have gone to the Fort Worth Stockyards. Them's REAL cowboys! And, yea, sorry about the heat. It's supposed to be 104 degrees in Dallas today! Yikes! Sounds like a good day for air conditioning or swimming.

106 tomorrow?!?!

Libera In Texas!

These are Libera's Facebook posts that they made around 2:30 a.m. Central Standard Time:

All tucked up in Dallas.

and then...

Safe and sound in Texas.

Aww, they must be sooo tired. Hope they can sleep in and get used to the time change. It's very hot in Texas today, so keep cool Libera! See you soon!

*gasp* THEY'RE HERE!!!!

Libera posted this on their Facebook page 11 hours ago:

We're on our way to cowboy country. Ye-hah....

Then they just posted this 20 minutes ago:

We have arrived In the USA. Some in Washington and some in Boston. Now onward to Texas......

On Twitter at the same time:

In the USA - heading for Cowboy country.

Love the funny "Ye-hah" reference. Wanna see them in cowboy hats next to a longhorn steer!  :)

Update for Dallas: Libera will be singing in the 11 a.m. church service as well! This service should be broadcast via their website - http://www.phpc.org/. Click on "Live Broadcast" and remember it is at 11 am Central Time.  :)

Spread The Word!

Libera posted this on their Facebook page:

To all our USA supporters: Can you help? We hope that lots of people will come to our concerts when we are on tour - so if you have friends or relatives or media contacts in the cities we are visiting why not let them know! Also can you share our music with your friends - perhaps via our YouTube site? Finally we would like lots more people to join us here at Facebook - what about your friends? We are close to 17000 Fans and lots of those are in the Philippines - but we are sure the USA could overtake the Philippines!

So come on people! Let's do this! I hope that all the USA Libera fans will TRY to see at least one of their concerts. We watch longingly as fans in other countries get to see them live and then post their awesome pictures and videos. We WISH that we could go. It looks so fun! But then when we FINALLY get Libera concerts right here in the good old US of A, we don't want to drive to see them? (Yeah, I know some people are genuinely too far away to drive. The most we drive is 15 hours to Colorado and 20 hours to Florida.) But they're coming for us! We don't know when they'll be back. Let's go see them! You can't beat those ticket prices!

We're going to be driving because it's cheaper for us than flying. My parents are driving to the St. Louis concert without me :( because I'm in Band Camp that week. My mom WAS going to drive the 14 1/2 hours to Dallas to take me to those concerts, but now they are also during Band Camp. So hopefully I will be going to the Nashville and Atlanta concerts. Nashville is a 7 1/2 hour drive, and Atlanta is another 4 hours, but it's worth it!

Now, is Libera baiting us to challenge the Philippines? There are over 300 million people in the US. - OF COURSE we can beat the Philippines! lol  Let's show them how many fans they have here and share, share, share! If you have a Facebook account, become a fan of Libera's FB page. Send invites to your FB friends. Post those awesome YouTube videos on your wall or Slide FunSpace. Libera is sooo close to 17000 fans! You can also e-mail the links to the YouTube videos for people NOT on Facebook. That's how I found out about Libera in the first place. So come on Libera fans! Let's show Libera how much we love them!

DALLAS and FORT WORTH CONCERT DATE CHANGES

UPDATE ON LIBERA'S FACEBOOK PAGE at 4:11pm CST:

"US Tour Update: Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to reschedule the first 2 concerts on our USA tour. Our concert in Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church, Dallas will now take place on Sunday 1st August, and Arborlawn Methodist Church, Fort Worth will take place on Monday 2nd August. We hope these changes do not cause too much inconvenience to our supporters."

Now I can't go cause it conflicts with Band Camp. Guess it's Nashville or nothing. Bummer.

Facebook Spring Tour Pics

Libera posted some fabulous pictures on their Facebook page! The description of the album says, "Here are some pictures of our spring tour - including images from Tokyo, Seoul, Manila, Athens, Venice, the Alps, the English Channel and Arundel."
There are 18 pictures. Am I going to put that many up? Of course! OK, I'll cut it down to 13!  :)

Tokyo Tower
Doesn't Liam look like a movie star?!

Tokyo Temple
Ahhh, where's Josh? In fact, we're missing like 9 of them. ???

I just realized where. On April 9 I posted pics from the Japan Tour. One pic shows 9 members appearing on the Don TV show. So obviously while they were on TV, the other members went to the Tokyo Temple.
 Duh. lol

Sightseeing in Seoul
Now Jonathan's the one looking cool in his shades!

Royal Palace, Seoul
Not sure what these outfits are. Obviously something historically significant in Korea.
Still makes me laugh. Diggin' the footwear! And the tough-guy stances.

Philippines Airlines Photoshoot
Hilarious!

Showtime

RCBc, Manila
Excellent lights!

Country Club, Tagaytay Highlands
What a cool picture!

Acropolis, Athens
I was right!! When their updates said they were in Athens, I said they should
run up the Acropolis to get their energy out! What a great picture! I'm so jealous!

St. Mark's Square, Venice
Oh my word, I freakin' LOVE this picture!
Can I order an enlarged poster for my wall?

The White Cliffs of Dover
Almost home! That's an adventure they'll never forget. Pretty hard to top this one.

Arundel Cathedral

Arundel Cathedral
Nice angle! Can see the string players, too!

Join Us At Facebook Video

This is a newer video Libera released in March with Ben, Josh, Liam and Jonathan inviting people to their new Facebook page. It's fun to compare this video to the 2006 Website Promo Video. Josh and Liam have grown so much since then! When they say their names, each of their voices gets progressively deeper til Jonathan's really, really deep voice. I love their Facebook page, too!

200 Votes for James Mordaunts Coolness

If you're on Facebook, you can become a fan of a page called "200 votes for james mordaunts coolness."  The fan club was started by Alex Leggett, which I think is pretty cool of him to do!

Once you join, you can then write on Mini James's wall to tell him how cool you think he is. There are currently 117 members. Probably a lot of people don't even know about it, and he really deserves so much more support! I mean, come on, he has an amazing voice with a solo in "Touch the Sky," is great at speaking in public on behalf of Libera, is always smiling and polite to the fans, and has the cutest dimples ever (well, Mini Ben's are pretty great, too)! Look how adorable he is on the cover of the Peace CD. Just a mini-angel waiting for his next chance to fly down to earth and sing for us.

Mini-James, I think you are the coolest!!!!

Safely Home

Libera published the following on their Facebook page:

Safely Home

After a journey of 16200 miles by land, sea and air - involving 5 airplanes, 2 ferries and 6 coaches - we have finally arrived home from our Spring tour after getting stranded at Athens by the ash from the Icelandic Volcano.

Thank you to all our supporters for your wonderful messages of support and for your prayers and good wishes.

In particular we thank our supporters in Japan, Korea and the Philippines for your warm hospitality during the planned part of our tour, and we also thank those people we met in Greece, Italy, Switzerland and France who helped us on our journey home.

There were literally hundreds of great messages on FB from their fans. Libera is the best, but now we know they have the best fans, too!
