Peace Deluxe Soloists!

The Amazon UK site has samples of the Peace Deluxe songs. It lists the soloists!

Lullabye - Jakob, Ben, Josh  -  Wow! So is Josh on the high notes and Jakob on the low notes or the opposite? It would make sense that cousins's voices would sound similar and blend so nicely.

Eternal Light - no soloist listed? Says the composer is Akira Senju.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - Ralph, Mini James

Silent Night -  Ed, Tom  -  It gives them in that order.

You can see it here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Peace-Luxury-Edition-digital-booklet/dp/B0047BVEWQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1287228792&sr=8-1.

Amazon.com Pricing

Libera gave this response to a message left on their blog which understandably complained about the high price in US dollars being charged on Amazon.com for the Deluxe Peace CD:

We are aware that Amazon.com is charging a very high price for pre-orders of Japanese imports of the Peace Deluxe, because the album release will take place there earlier than in the USA. Unfortunately we have no control over Amazon, but please be assured that we do plan to release the album in the USA on 7th December.

So the price will probably come down on December 7 once we can order a non-Japanese import CD. If you want the Japanese CD, I suggest you order from a Japanese site directly like HMV. See September 15th posting below. To pre-order, may I suggest you first try going through Libera's shopping site http://www.facebook.com/OfficialLibera#!/OfficialLibera?v=app_10442206389. As I understand it, they get a commission from the sale when you go through their site.

Listen to 4 New Songs!

Thanks to Fan de LoK's sleuthing talents, we can now listen to samples of the 4 new songs coming on the Peace Deluxe Edition. They can be found here- http://www.mobiledjdownloads.com/album.php?id=329743.
Just click on the microphone icon by the "BUY" icon. Don't try to buy them yet as that feature doesn't seem to be working correctly yet.

The 4 songs are:

Lullaby - It's so beautiful! The soloist's voice reminds me of Josh but higher, so I'm guessing it's Jakob.  ???

Eternal Light - Maybe Ralph on the solo.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas - I like this one a lot! Makes me ready for Christmas already!  :)

Silent Night - Solo by Tom Cully!  :) Super nice!

Apparently EMI Classics has pushed back the release date to November 22 in the UK. Japan is scheduled for November 1.

Update: And now Libera has confirmed this on their blog!

The “Peace – Deluxe Version” is on the way!

All the new ‘Peace’ songs – some brand new ones – and…. 3 new videos

And a Libera Calendar!

Japan and some other countries will release on November 1st but in the UK it will be November 22nd. USA release on December 7th.

It should be available for pre-order soon – some sites have it already.

Advertising the UK Concerts

Libera posted on their Facebook page:

Calling supporters in Bristol and Chester - can you help? We need help to spread the word about our concerts in Bristol and Chester. We need people to put up posters in libraries, churches, schools etc.. Or perhaps you can hand out A5 flyers or leave them where people might pick them up. And if you know people in these places please encourage them to come to our concerts.

Sorry I don't live in England to help, but if you know anyone that lives in the UK, you can forward the poster to them on Facebook or by e-mail. People could also put the poster up in train stations, coffee shops and grocery stores, too. (Ours have bulletin boards when you go in or out of the grocery store.) Just copy and print the poster above. And maybe Aled Jones could mention the concerts on his radio show.  Just a suggestion.  :)

Libera's blog also added this picture from the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis 2010. Love the colors and how you can see their reflections in the shiny floor!

Libera Drama Club

Well now I'm REALLY excited for the new music videos! Libera seems to be taunting us with all of these interesting pictures that keep popping up on their blog!  :)  And by the looks of the pictures, it seems that the song(s)? will have a story line included as well! The first picture, with all of the little boys standing by the empty beds with their hands open, seems to have a sort of Oliver Twist, sad, poor, orphan boys feeling to it. (I read that in 6th grade.) The next picture however is much more happy with mattresses on the beds, the big boys in with the little ones, Josh with the story book on his lap, Kavana with a toy boat, and a lady (I'm wondering who she is?) standing at the door.

The next set of pictures is just Ben and Josh, all dressed up as soldiers! I don't think that these are the same song, based on the fact that Josh and Ben seem to be kids in the first two and adults in the second two. I'm still trying to figure out if the board with the numbers in the background means anything, or if it was just put there by the park. It's also interesting that the second picture, with Josh and Ben on the ground, (hope they're not dead) :(  has been taken off the Libera site. Did they not want us to see it? Jimmy Riddle on the Dreams forum said this video might come out for Armistice Day (Veteran's day for those in the States) in November. I'm super curious to see how these boys are at the acting business! We know Ben can act, and we know that many of them are quite expressive, but what does that mean to these new videos?! I can't wait to find out!

Just a Thought

Is anyone going to any of Libera's Autumn concerts in the UK?  Most of us expected Libera's Autumn Tour to be in the Philippines to promote their CD + DVD coming out. What a surprise to find out they are staying in the UK. It could be because of money, but it also could be in response to the requests of so many in their home country and closer European countries to please have concerts in the UK. I know there are people going from England, Ireland, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, US, Latvia and Italy. Anywhere else?  :D  Edit: Add Qatar, Japan, Korea and  Russia to the list! Wow! Possibly Sweden, too.

Just a thought that since it's in the UK, all the little newbies could be there! They don't have to travel outside the country, so their parents wouldn't worry about them as much, and there's very little extra expense to take all 40 or so kids to UK concerts instead of 21-23 kids. These concerts could then mean some really exciting changes in the Spring. Some of the little ones may end up having more confidence and better stage presence than anyone expected. I still want all the older boys to be there, but it sure would be great to see some of the little ones.

Some have speculated that Libera may be coming to the US again in the Spring because they could still travel on their visas from the summer which were very expensive. All the Summer tour kids already have visas. Would they be willing and able to pay for visas for any of the little ones? Can't wait to find out!

Libera posted a video on YouTube for their UK Autumn Tour:
